Explosive experts of Chernihiv police neutralized a part of an enemy X-59 missile with cluster submunitions, UNN reports citing the Interior Ministry.

According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the police destroyed the dangerous findings by controlled explosion at the place of discovery in compliance with all safety standards.
In addition, law enforcement officers urged people to remember to report suspicious items if they find them:
Do not approach.
Do not touch.
Call 101, 102 or 112.

Specialists of the Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Examinations have previously concluded in their studies that the Russians are more likely to use rockets with cluster munitions. In particular, they equip Kh-101 missiles and 3M "Caliber" sea-based cruise missiles, as well as Kh-59, with this type of ammunition.
The cartridge warhead visually looks like metal balls or truncated cylinders with a diameter of about 10 centimeters, each of which contains an explosive part. Even if the missile is shot down, such submunitions can cause damage and significant damage over a large area.
Experts also warn that it is extremely dangerous to approach submunitions in the event of their detection, it is necessary to call the relevant services and be vigilant.
