A crashed drone was discovered in Lithuania on Sunday, which, according to local authorities, may be a Ukrainian military drone. This was reported by Reuters with reference to the National Crisis Management Center of Lithuania, UNN reports.

According to the head of the center, Vilmantas Vitkauskas, the drone was not detected when entering Lithuanian airspace and did not carry explosives. The drone was found in the village of Samanė, approximately 40 kilometers from the border with Latvia and 55 kilometers from Belarus.
Separately, the Latvian army reported that an alert was issued on Sunday morning near the border with Russia due to drones.
NATO fighter jets participating in the Baltic Air Policing mission were dispatched to the area.
According to the military, one of the drones briefly entered Latvian airspace.

Reuters notes that since March, several Ukrainian drones have entered the airspace of Latvia, Lithuania, and Estonia, which border Russia and Belarus.
Kyiv previously explained that such drones were launched to strike military targets in Russia, but they could veer off course due to the operation of Russian electronic warfare systems.
