The High Anti-Corruption Court has sent to prison for 10.5 years the former deputy director of the State Expertise Department of the State Export Control Service, Serhiy Holovaty, who is accused of taking a bribe, UNN reports, citing the HACC press service.

The HACC added that Holovatyi was banned from holding positions related to the performance of organizational, administrative or administrative and economic functions at enterprises, institutions, organizations for a period of 3 years.
He was also deprived of his 7th rank as a civil servant and ordered to confiscate all his property, including $42,908, two gold bars weighing 5 grams each, and other property.
Until the verdict enters into force, the measure of restraint in the form of bail was changed to custody. He was taken into custody in the courtroom.
In addition, the HACC panel of judges will appeal to the Qualification and Disciplinary Commission of the Bar to bring to justice the two lawyers involved in the case.
