The Shevchenkivskyi District Court of Kyiv has canceled the seizure of some of the property involved in the case against Lviv businessman Ihor Hrynkevych, who is a suspect in the case of UAH 1 billion worth of clothing for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This is stated in the court ruling, UNN reports.
To cancel the seizure of property imposed by the decision of the investigating judge of the Pechersk District Court of Kyiv dated January 22, 2024 in case No. 757/1975/24-k in terms of property.
Details
According to the court decision, the arrest was lifted:
- non-residential building in Lviv at 72 Heroiv UPA str. with a total area of 3119.6 sq.m.;
- land plot with cadastral number: 4610136900:06:002:0061, with an area of 72 square meters;
- non-residential premises of the refrigerator-distributor, lit. "Zh-2"; "Zh-1" in Lviv at 14 Apostol D Street, with a total area of 1758 sq.m.
The buildings, premises, and land plot belong to VT Development LLC, which is owned through a second company, Yasnynsky Krai LLC, by a Lviv resident, Maksym Stankevych. By the way, VT Development was owned by Ihor Hrynkevych's wife Svitlana until August 2023.
The court also found that the investigators did not provide evidence of the company's illegal activities, it was not a party to the contracts under investigation, and the property was acquired long before they were concluded. Therefore, the court decided that the continued seizure of the property "is not justified by the needs of the pre-trial investigation" and canceled it.
