The Eighth Appellate Administrative Court has issued a ruling fully granting the lawsuit filed by the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine against the "Rus" political party. The party's activities on the territory of Ukraine are prohibited, and all property, funds, and other assets of the party and its regional branches will be transferred to state ownership. The Security Service of Ukraine acted as a third party in the case. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Justice, according to UNN.

The basis for the Ministry of Justice's appeal to the court was materials from law enforcement agencies, specifically the Security Service of Ukraine and the Office of the Prosecutor General, which indicated that the political party's activities were aimed at violating the constitutional order, state sovereignty, and territorial integrity of Ukraine, as well as undermining the national security of the state.
The lawsuit was justified by the fact that the party's founding documents contained pro-Russian ideological provisions, and its leader publicly supported the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, denied Ukrainian statehood, approved the occupation of Ukrainian territories, and spread the narratives of the aggressor state. Furthermore, the party leader was an agent of Russian influence who carried out subversive activities against Ukraine through undercover infiltration into "Euromaidan" to coordinate and facilitate the violent dispersal of peaceful protesters during the Revolution of Dignity.
The entry of this court decision into legal force will ensure the termination of the illegal activities of the "Rus" party to the detriment of Ukraine's national security, as well as the transfer of the property and assets of the party and its branches to state ownership
