Kyiv authorities have signed a draft task for amending the city's General Plan. The document will be developed taking into account the challenges caused by the war, demographic changes, as well as the need to restore housing and infrastructure. This was announced by Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko in Telegram, writes UNN.
Together with the head of the Kyiv City Organization of the National Union of Architects of Ukraine and the Chief Architect of the capital, we signed a draft task for the development of urban planning documentation "Amendments to the General Plan of the City of Kyiv." It was approved by a working group of experts (including international ones), specialists, representatives of authorities
According to Klitschko, the updated General Plan will become the basis for an integrated approach to urban planning. In particular, it will take into account:
- the defense capability of the capital;
- development of shelter infrastructure;
- transport and energy resilience;
- formation of an inclusive urban space.
Amendments to the General Plan will also take into account the consequences of migration changes, the need for housing stock and the integration of new functional zones
As the mayor of the capital noted, the next step will be to determine the contractor, after which the process of developing urban planning documentation will begin with the involvement of international experts and the public.
