Law enforcement officers exposed a 31-year-old resident of Chernivtsi region who was illegally transporting men liable for military service abroad. A warehouse of weapons, ammunition, and forged documents were found in his home and cars. This was reported by the Main Directorate of the National Police in Chernivtsi region, UNN reports.

It is noted that the defendant found the "tourists" and, according to a previously agreed plan, transported them by car to the state border with the Republic of Romania. The amount of the "green corridor" was 10 thousand euros per person.
On December 20, law enforcement officers arrested the man and placed him in custody.
During the searches, the law enforcement seized 5 grenades with fuses, ammunition, pistols, 2 rifles, a carbine complete with an under-barrel grenade launcher, uniforms of law enforcement officers, magazines for automatic weapons, false IDs, money in foreign currency and other material evidence. All seized items were sent for examination.
The detainee is charged with illegal handling of weapons and illegal transportation of persons across the border. The involvement of other persons in the commission of illegal actions is also being checked.
