Ukrainian boxer Vyacheslav Uzelkov was laid to rest.
His friends and family, including his children Robert and Olivia, who were born in his marriage to fitness trainer Maryna Borzhemska, came to see Viacheslav off.
The funeral ceremony took place in one of Vinnytsia's memorial halls, and Viacheslav was buried at the local cemetery, also in his native Vinnytsia.

Vyacheslav Uzelkov was born on April 8, 1979 in Vinnytsia and started boxing in 1987.
Uzelkov achieved considerable success in the amateur ring: he won the European Junior Championships in Birmingham in 1997, won silver at the 1998 World Cup in Beijing, and took third place at the World Military Games in Zagreb in 1999.
In 2000, at the European Championships in the 81 kg category, he lost in his first fight, and at the 2001 World Championships in Belfast, he took third place in the 91 kg category. In the same year, he took second place at the prestigious tournament in Helsinki, and in 2002 he won silver at the European Championships in Perm. In 2003, Uzelkov took third place at the Strandzha tournament in Bulgaria and second place at the Black Sea Cup in Sudak.
Vyacheslav Uzelkov made his professional debut in 2004, defeating Russian Suleiman Dzherilov. After a series of successful fights, in 2007 he became the WBA Intercontinental Champion, defeating the Spaniard Gabriel Campillo.
In 2010, he fought for the world title with Beibut Shumenov, but lost by unanimous decision. After the defeat, he won several fights, but suffered a stroke after a fight with German Eduard Gutknecht. Uzelkov ended his career in 2014, having fought 34 fights, of which he won 30 (19 by knockout).
After his boxing career ended, Uzelkov was actively involved in various projects: he tried himself as an actor, TV presenter, and politician. In 2008, he starred in a melodrama, and in 2009, he took part in the show "Dancing for You."
In 2014-2015, he was a member of the jury on the Ukraine's Got Talent program, and later, together with his wife Maryna, he starred in the project "Balanced and Happy." In 2020, he ran for mayor of Vinnytsia from the OPFL, but received only 4% of the vote. Uzelkov was married to Maryna Borzhemska for 22 years, with whom he raised two children, but the couple divorced in 2021.
