U.S. Secretary of State Anthony Blinken said on Thursday that Ukraine urgently needs additional assistance after a meeting of NATO foreign ministers. He said this while speaking to journalists at NATO headquarters in Brussels, UNN reports.
In terms of stocks of equipment, materials, yes, we talked today about everyone going back and taking an immediate and careful look at what might be available. We know what the needs are. Air defense, artillery, ammunition. Based on what I've heard today, I think everybody, including the United States, is going to redouble and, if necessary, double down on finding the resources that Ukraine so desperately needs.

Blinken also added that support for Ukraine is especially important now, as countries such as China, North Korea and Iran are helping Russia build its defense industrial base.
So, more than ever, we have a real burden-sharing (in terms of supporting Ukraine) among the allies, and in the 30 or so years that I've been doing this, this is probably the best example of burden-sharing that the United States has contributed to. But I know that Speaker (Mike) Johnson's commitment to bring a supplemental budget to a vote quickly is clear: that vote cannot come soon enough.
He also added that the approval of funding for Ukraine by the US Congress is important. After all, Ukraine's security is a matter of global security, and the United States cannot deviate from its principles of maintaining peace in the world.
