The administration of U.S. President Joe Biden is not yet ready to announce the delivery of ATACMS missiles, but will continue efforts to support Ukraine. This was stated by Biden's National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan at a joint briefing with the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak in Kyiv on March 20, UNN reports citing Radio Liberty.
"As for ATACMS, I may disappoint you, but I will say that I have nothing to announce today. When we can share something, we will do so. But I will say that we have had very constructive discussions about our military support and the necessary capabilities that will make that support effective. I am confident that we will successfully execute Plan A. We will get bipartisan support for an aid package for Ukraine. So, I don't think we need to talk about Plan B today," the US administration official said.
Jake Sullivan did not indicate when the United States would be able to announce the continuation of military support for Ukraine.
"I'm not going to make statements about when the process will be completed, but we're working to get it done as quickly as possible. President Biden is working on this every day to push this package through the House of Representatives, but I can't make any specific predictions," the National Security Advisor emphasized.
