On Tuesday, December 10, Belarus conducted a test of a new anti-aircraft guided missile for the Buk-MB2 complex near the border with Ukraine. This was reported by the monitoring OSINT project "Belarusian Gayun", UNN reports.
Details
It is noted that the tests took place on the territory of the former 41st aviation training ground (Merlinsky), where a flight restriction zone was previously introduced. It was because of the missile launches during the day that an air alert was declared in Ukraine.
We remind you that the restricted area is valid until December 20, meaning that it is possible that missile launches in this area will continue in the coming days
The State Military-Industrial Committee of Belarus reported that the 9M318 missile is used to engage high-speed maneuvering aerodynamic targets, tactical ballistic, cruise, aircraft and anti-ship missiles and helicopters in conditions of intense electronic countermeasures, as well as surface and radio-contrast ground targets.
The 9M318 has an active homing head that allows it to hit targets with a higher probability and to release the SAM's target channel without waiting for the target to be hit.
Recall
The self-proclaimed president of Belarus announced that several dozen nuclear warheads have been imported into the country. He emphasized that these are tactical nuclear weapons, which are 5 times more powerful than the Oreshnik complex.
