In the Dnipropetrovsk region, a 57-year-old local resident was notified of suspicion regarding the attempted premeditated murder of the Mayor of Pyatykhatky, Hilal Isayev. This was reported by UNN with reference to the Office of the Prosecutor General.

According to the investigation, on May 26, at around 10:40 a.m., a verbal conflict broke out between the men near the Pyatykhatky City Council building during a discussion regarding the unauthorized use of communal property.
The suspect, who is a local farmer, stabbed the mayor in the chest area. The official was sent to the hospital in serious condition, and the attacker was detained.
Investigators have opened criminal proceedings under Part 2 of Art. 15, Part 1 of Art. 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (attempted premeditated murder). The detainee could face a lengthy prison sentence.
