A 27-year-old resident of Luhansk, who fought as part of the illegal armed formations of the "LPR" and participated in hostilities against Ukraine, has been sentenced to 15 years in prison. According to the investigation, in 2022, he gave the order to shoot down a UAF helicopter, for which he received a monetary reward from the occupiers. This was reported by the Office of the Prosecutor General, according to UNN.
Prosecutors of the Lviv Regional Prosecutor's Office proved in court the guilt of the 27-year-old resident of Luhansk, who back in 2017 voluntarily joined the illegal armed formation of the so-called "LPR," and after the start of the full-scale invasion, continued to fight on the side of the RF against Ukraine
The convict served as an anti-aircraft gunner and squad leader in the occupiers' units, performed tasks to cover Russian troops, and participated in assault operations.
In March 2022, in the Bakhmut direction, a UAF helicopter was shot down on his orders. For this, the occupiers paid him 300,000 Russian rubles.
In 2024, the militant was taken prisoner. Following a public prosecution by the Lviv Regional Prosecutor's Office, the court found him guilty of high treason and collaborative activities and sentenced him to 15 years of imprisonment with confiscation of property.
