About 200 civilians took part in clashes involving a crowd, the TCR and police in Lviv, the Office of the Prosecutor General reported on Thursday, stating that an investigation has been launched into the incident involving servicemen, police and civilians, UNN writes.

"An investigation has been launched into the circumstances of the incident that occurred in Lviv involving servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, police officers and about 200 civilians," the Office of the Prosecutor General reported.
Currently, as stated, two criminal proceedings have been opened on the facts of obstruction of the lawful activities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine during a special period and violence against a law enforcement officer.
Qualification: Part 1 of Article 114-1, Part 2 of Article 345 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
According to the prosecutor's office, on July 8, 2026, in Lviv on Chervona Kalyny Avenue, "a group of people blocked, damaged and overturned a car of servicemen of the Sykhiv District TCR who were performing their official duties." "Shoving and aggressive actions against representatives of the Armed Forces of Ukraine also continued during the night of July 9," the Office of the Prosecutor General stated.
"To stop the illegal actions and stabilize the situation, police officers arrived at the scene. During the attempt of law enforcement officers to calm the crowd, some individuals resisted. One of the active participants in the event attacked the deputy head of one of the district police departments of Lviv. The law enforcement officer received numerous bodily injuries and head trauma," the statement reads.
"Currently, no one has been detained. Investigative actions are ongoing. The persons involved in the illegal actions are being identified," the Office of the Prosecutor General stated as of 14:25.

On the evening of July 8 in Lviv, in the Sykhiv district, a crowd tried to "free" a man from TCR employees under shouts of "shame" and began to beat the TCR service car, which, according to local public reports, was overturned. The police and the local TCR stated that the conflict occurred due to the detention of a military-liable man who was wanted.
The head of the Lviv OVA, Maksym Kozytskyi, reported at night that "an urgent meeting was held with law enforcement officers regarding the situation with the blocking of TCR cars in Sykhiv."
The head of the Office of the President, former head of the GUR of the Ministry of Defense, Kyrylo Budanov, reacted to the conflict involving the crowd and TCR representatives in Lviv, stating that he expects a "fair" response from law enforcement agencies.
