There is a constant electricity deficit in Ukraine, which is felt both during blackouts and during periods of stable supply. This was stated by the former head of the board of NEC "Ukrenergo" Volodymyr Kudrytskyi in an interview with the Ukrainian Crisis Media Center, reports UNN.
Details
According to him, even during periods without mass blackouts, the system is forced to compensate for the lack of electricity through imports or increased operation of hydroelectric power plants.
The energy system lacks the electricity generation that exists within Ukraine. It is necessary either to import electricity or to involve hydroelectric power plants overtime. This is also a deficit situation
Kudrytskyi added that in 2023, the deficit was less noticeable to consumers, but in fact, it did not disappear anywhere.
Recall
