A residential building caught fire in Odesa. A rescuer was killed while extinguishing the fire, UNN reports with reference to the State Emergency Service.

The fire occurred on Kanatna Street.
Upon arrival at the scene, the rescuers found that the roof and an apartment on the top floor of a four-story residential building were burning with open flames.

The units were responding to an elevated call number. It took firefighters almost 3 hours to completely eliminate the fire on the area of 1500 square meters. Three people were evacuated from the smoky building.
