"For this reason, the man was released from custody today," the statement said.

The incident occurred on August 12, when the body of a 46-year-old Ukrainian man was found in a specialized refugee center in Rostock. The police and emergency services that arrived at the scene declared the man dead, which, according to preliminary data, was caused by murder.
