60 explosions occurred in Chernihiv region over 24 hours due to Russian shelling

Russian troops fired 20 times with mortars at the border of Chernihiv region yesterday, 60 explosions were recorded. There were no casualties. This was reported on Wednesday by the Northern Regional Office of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, UNN reports.

"During the day, Russian troops attacked the border of Chernihiv region with mortars in twelve cases. 60 explosions were recorded," the mission said in a Facebook post.

In particular, hostile attacks were registered:

Novhorod-Siverska community - 43 explosions: 

  • 19 explosions (probably from a 120-mm mortar and unguided aerial missiles) were in the direction of Hremyach;
  •  two explosions (probably from a 120-mm mortar) were in the direction of Krasniy Khutor;
  •  two explosions (unidentified explosive devices dropped from an unmanned aerial vehicle) in the direction of Buchky village;
  • 20 explosions (probably from MLRS) were recorded in the direction of Vorobiivka.

Semenivka community:

  • nine explosions (probably from a 120-mm mortar) in the direction of the village of Lubyane.

Snovska community:

  • eight explosions (probably from an 82-mm mortar) in the area of Klusy.

There is no information on deaths and injuries among the local population as a result of the shelling.
