Russia launched 272 drones at Ukraine overnight, with 249 of them shot down or suppressed in the north, south, and east of the country, but there were hits in 11 locations, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported on Saturday, UNN writes.

According to the AFU Air Force, on the night of June 6 (from 18:00 on June 5), the enemy attacked with 272 strike UAVs of the Shahed type (including jet-powered ones), Gerbera, Italmas, "Banderol" loitering munitions, and "Parody" type decoy drones from the directions of: Orel, Kursk, Bryansk, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Millerovo – RF, and Gvardiyske – temporarily occupied Crimea.
The aerial attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
According to preliminary data as of 08:00, air defense shot down/suppressed 249 enemy UAVs of the Shahed, Gerbera, and Italmas types, as well as other types of drones in the north, south, and east of the country. Hits by 19 strike UAVs were recorded at 11 locations, and the fall of downed drones (debris) was recorded at 13 locations
The attack is ongoing; several enemy UAVs remain in the airspace.
