Russia is preparing to mobilize 300,000 troops on June 1. This was stated by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy during a joint press conference with Finnish President Alexander Stubb, UNN reports.
"We don't need half a million, I am grateful to the Main Command for the audit. It is important that he found the forces within the Armed Forces. The appropriate number who were not at the front will be at the front," Zelensky said.
He noted that he is not yet ready to say publicly how many people will be mobilized in Ukraine.
"As for the specific number, I am not ready to tell you how many will be mobilized. I can say that Russia is preparing to mobilize 300,000 additional troops on June 1," Zelensky said.

A Financial Times article in January 2024 reportedthat the Russian occupation forces could launch a new full-scale offensive against Ukraine in the summer of 2024.
At the end of March, Zelenskyy statedthat Ukraine had managed to contain the Russian offensive and stabilize the situation, but that we were unable to repel another offensive.
