President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy today submitted draft laws to the Verkhovna Rada proposing to extend the state of martial law in Ukraine (No. 15197) and general mobilization (No. 15198), according to the parliament's website, UNN reports.

"The President has already submitted the laws on martial law and general mobilization. Today, the Defense Committee will also meet to consider them and release them to the floor. Again for 90 days. This will be the 19th time the Rada has voted on these issues," MP Yaroslav Zheleznyak commented on social media.

According to him, "the term of the previous decrees is currently in effect until May 4, 2026. Accordingly, the extension will be until August 2." "The consideration date is currently set for April 28, but it could also be the 29th," Zheleznyak indicated.
