Zelenskyy heard Syrskyy's report on the situation at the front: special attention was paid to the Pokrovske direction

This morning, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy heard from Ukraine's military leadership about the situation at the front and strengthening Ukraine's defense. The head of state said this in an evening video address, UNN reports.

There was a report by Commander-in-Chief Syrsky on the frontline situation, and the most important, of course, was the Pokrovsk direction. There are invariably the fiercest battles there, and this area requires our most intense response to the occupier

He emphasized that each brigade or unit in the Pokrovske direction  largely holds the foundation of defense in the entire east of our country.

General Staff on the situation in the frontline: the number of combat engagements increased to 72, the hottest spot is in the Pokrovsk sector02.08.24, 16:29

 At the same time, we do not reduce our attention to all other areas on the frontline - in Donetsk, as well as in Kharkiv and our southern regions

The launching ceremony of the second Ukrainian Ada-class corvette Hetman Ivan Vyhovskyi (F-212) took place at RMK Marine shipyard in Istanbul. This is the second corvette built in Turkey for Ukraine.
