The head of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Finance, Taxation and Customs Policy, Danylo Hetmantsev, dreams of leaving Ukrainians without the Internet. This opinion was expressed by Nina Yuzhanina, a member of the Verkhovna Rada's tax committee, UNN reports.

She recalledHetmantsev's words that this "industry is quite rich, and in conditions when it remains stable due to frequent blackouts, it has additional advantages and, accordingly, revenue growth.
According to Yuzhanina, the idea behind the fixes by the head of the Rada's tax committee is to force providers to abandon the simplified taxation system so that they do not "split into individual entrepreneurs.
Yuzhanina added that the tax authorities did not hesitate to interpret Hetmantsev's words, and on August 20, 2024, the Main Department of the State Tax Service in Dnipropetrovs'k Oblast issued an explanation that providers cannot be single tax payers.
The MP explained that, according to the tax authorities' logic, since the Internet access service is provided, the equipment is also serviced in accordance with the Law "On Electronic Communications". However, the Code does not explicitly prohibit Internet providers from using the simplified taxation system! It is not surprising that a petition "On Preventing the Abolition of the Simplified Taxation System for Taxpayers in the Field of Electronic Communications" was registered on the website of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine .
In my opinion, this is another area that this man can destroy. Because for him, small business and the self-employed are enemies. Unfortunately, people with this kind of thinking are breaking the country's economy today
