The father of Norway national team player Erling Haaland expressed his feelings after his son's team lost to England in the World Cup quarterfinal last night — he is dissatisfied and expresses doubt about the referee's work, reports UNN citing Sky News.
Alf-Inge Haaland actively discussed the situation on X after the final whistle, responding to posts by football journalists Henry Winter and Fabrizio Romano.
In response to Romano's post praising Jude Bellingham, Haaland wrote: "Well done, Bellingham and the referee."
And in another response to Winter, he said: "Seriously? Saved thanks to the referee. I hope you win the World Cup now. But I feel we were robbed today."
Norway national team head coach Ståle Solbakken voiced similar criticism after the match.
