Defense Minister Rustem Umerov reacted to the russian missile attack on the National Children's Specialized Hospital "Okhmatdyt". According to UNN, he said that Ukraine needs quick decisions from its allies to provide additional weapons to protect the sky and civilians, as well as more air defense systems.
The missile attack was carried out during rush hour, when Ukrainians were going to work. This time, not only civilian and residential infrastructure was targeted by the four dozen "calibers" and "daggers" launched from the Volgograd region. The enemy hit the premises of the National Children's Specialized Hospital "Okhmatdyt" with "high-precision" weapons
He noted that russia's crime, which has resulted in dozens of deaths and injuries, including children, is being documented and will be referred to international institutions for a fair investigation as a crime against civilians.
Our defense capabilities are still insufficient. We need swift decisions by our allies to provide additional weapons to protect the skies and civilians. We need more air defense systems. We continue to work to ensure that the systems promised by our partners arrive in Ukraine as soon as possible. We are looking for opportunities to engage additional systems
