In France, Ukrainian rescuers stopped a forest fire that threatened a populated area, UNN reports, citing the State Emergency Service.
Details
The report of the fire was received from the head of the coordination center: the flames engulfed about 1 hectare of forest and, due to wind gusts and the heat, could spread toward the populated area.
The forces of a consolidated unit of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine were involved in extinguishing the fire—6 tanker trucks; from the air, ground units were supported by 3 French aircraft—2 planes and a helicopter
Thanks to the prompt response of the Ukrainian rescuers and aviation support, the fire was extinguished. The spread of the flames deeper into the forest and toward the populated area was prevented.
