Official Kyiv has submitted an updated official membership application to the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD). This was announced by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy after a meeting with the organization's Secretary-General Mathias Cormann, reports UNN.

According to Zelenskyy, Ukraine's membership in the OECD is important for our state, and the submission of the updated application was another step on this path.
The Prime Minister submitted Ukraine's official updated membership application to the OECD. We hope to receive candidate country status this fall. The next stage is a roadmap to OECD membership
During the meeting, Zelenskyy and Cormann discussed Ukraine's further progress toward membership in the organization, as well as the state's progress on the path to European integration.
Special attention was paid to the implementation of reforms necessary for Ukraine's rapid progress toward EU membership. Also discussed were the implementation of the financial support package from the European Union, strengthening sanctions pressure on russia, and contacts with international partners.
In addition, Volodymyr Zelenskyy thanked Mathias Cormann and the OECD for their support of Ukraine.
