Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko announced the simplification of the business insurance process against war risks. This was reported by UNN with reference to Svyrydenko's post on social networks.

As the head of government noted, a mechanism for insuring property against war risks came into effect on January 1. She added that businesses had been eagerly awaiting this in the face of constant Russian attacks on enterprises and infrastructure.

Svyrydenko added that compensation now covers not only real estate but also production equipment - machine tools, apparatus, tools, and machinery.
From now on, a property appraisal report is no longer required to submit an application. The entrepreneur independently indicates the amount of potential damage, and in case of destruction, a damage assessment will be required.
Compensation is provided not only in cases of direct hits by missiles or artillery but also in cases of damage from shock waves, falling UAVs, KABs, debris, and other indirect effects of weapons. The compensation limit - up to UAH 10 million for property or up to UAH 1 million in insurance premium compensation - now applies to each legal entity separately, and not to all related parties. The mechanism applies to property damaged or destroyed from January 1, 2026
