Ukraine is preparing a reform with new contracts for military personnel, which is planned to be introduced this year, and salaries will depend on the position and responsibilities, said Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko during the question hour to the government in parliament, writes UNN.

"I will start, probably, with salaries for servicemen and expenditures for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. I want to repeat once again, it is our duty to find sources and ensure the fulfillment of all our obligations to servicemen, on whose shoulders our state rests today. 2.8 trillion is the expenditure of our state budget, the largest expenditure. And it is logical that this is the military direction," the Prime Minister noted.
The Ministry of Defense has conducted and is conducting a relevant audit of salaries and is working to introduce a contract form this year. We have discussed the relevant contracts that will be offered with the Minister of Defense.
She suggested that "in general, we will be able to come out and talk to parliamentarians in a couple of weeks."
But it is precisely these contracts that will make it possible to have a differentiated salary, depending on the position and function performed by a particular serviceman. And this is an important... a very important reform.
