Today, Ukraine's Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba held talks with UN High Commissioner for Refugees Filippo Grandi at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine to discuss strengthening cooperation between Ukraine and the UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR).

The Minister praised the work of UNHCR in Ukraine, in particular the provision of a new winterization assistance package, and emphasized the importance of strengthening the humanitarian response to support Ukrainians affected by the Russian aggression against Ukraine. He expressed gratitude to UNHCR for its continued support of Ukrainians and our country.

Following the meeting, the parties announced the joint launch of the online platform "Ukraine is Home", which will become an important tool to support the efforts to restore and rebuild Ukraine, as well as the return of Ukrainians. The platform will provide displaced individuals and families with verified and up-to-date information to help them make informed decisions about returning to Ukraine from abroad.

"We welcome the leadership and coordination role of UNHCR in assisting Ukrainians both in the country and abroad. As long as the Russian aggression continues, our people abroad continue to need international assistance and support," said Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba.

"At the same time, we are ready to work together to help those Ukrainians abroad who are ready to return to return home. In this regard, we expect that one of the important tools will be the "Ukraine is Home" platform, which is being launched under the auspices of UNHCR. This platform will help people get reliable and up-to-date information on all issues related to returning to Ukraine, see what opportunities and benefits are available, and make an informed choice," he said.

The Minister also called on the UNHCR to take decisive steps to protect Ukrainian children deported to Russia in order to prevent their illegal adoption and ensure their safe return to Ukraine.

The parties expressed their hope for continued partnership in implementing joint projects between the MFA and UNHCR to strengthen the technical capacity of the Ukrainian consular service and support the global Ukrainian community.
