Ukraine and the EU have signed agreement on grant support worth 5.27 billion euros under the Ukraine Facility over the next four years, the Ministry of Economy said on Tuesday, UNN reports.

"First Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Economy of Ukraine Yulia Svyrydenko signed a financial agreement between Ukraine and the EU, which regulates the receipt of grant assistance under the Ukraine Facility in the amount of €5.27 billion over the next four years," the ministry said.
The relevant decision to attract grant support from the EU was made at a government meeting last week.
The Government has finalized the agreement between Ukraine and the EU under the Ukraine Facility. The signing of the agreement to attract €5.27 billion in grant support over the next four years will help stabilize the macroeconomic and financial situation in the country and provide the necessary resources to support key sectors of the economy. This is the last agreement needed to make the Ukraine Facility program fully operational. According to the Ministry of Economy, the total budget support under the first component of the program, including loans and grants, amounts to EUR 38.27 billion. The program will provide tranches in accordance with the quarterly schedule of indicators. In total, in 2024, Ukraine expects to receive EUR 16 billion in support, of which EUR 3 billion will be grant assistance.
