Britain and Australia have signed a defense agreement. This was reported by Reuters, according to UNN.

Among other things, this means that it will be easier for defense forces to operate in each other's countries. They will also cooperate in submarine warfare and mine action.
The agreement also formalizes the established practice of consultations on issues that affect the sovereignty and regional security of both countries, said Australian Defense Minister Richard Marles.
Ministers also agreed on a number of initiatives to immediately implement this deepening cooperation, including:
- UK contribution to the Joint Intelligence Center of Australia within the framework of the Defense Intelligence Organization
- Commitment to develop a joint climate action plan by AUKMIN 2025
- Continued cooperation on capacity building, including through AUKUS
- Establishing joint negotiations with the staff at the highest level to ensure that operational cooperation meets modern challenges
- Closer cooperation in undersea warfare, autonomous maritime demining, science, technology and our workforce
- UK contribution to Talisman Sabre, Pitch Black and Predators Run training
- Australia's support for the UK-South Coastal Response Group and the visit of a carrier strike group to the Indo-Pacific in 2025.
