Ukrgasvydobuvannya has put into operation two high-rate wells with a total capacity of more than 200 thousand cubic meters per day. This was reported by UNN with reference to the company's press service.
Details
The agency explained that both wells were drilled in the same field: one of them had a sidetrack, and the other was put into operation after drilling.

It is noted that the first well was drilled back in 1975, but eventually became an idle well due to technical difficulties. The experts of Ukrgasvydobuvannya analyzed the well condition, the state of development of this field area and saw the prospects for well recovery.
To restore this well with a high flow rate, it was decided to drill a sidetrack and then perform several stages of hydraulic fracturing. This approach proved to be successful, providing more than 100 thousand cubic meters of natural gas for the country
The agency said that the second appraisal and production well also provides more than 100 thousand cubic meters of gas. The high result was achieved due to the successful choice of its location by the development team on the northern contour, as well as four stages of hydraulic fracturing.
Addendum
It is noted that both wells were drilled by a branch of Ukrburgaz.
The field has been under active drilling since 2021. Over the past year and a half, despite the martial law and related difficulties, 15 new production wells have already been added to the existing well stock, and several more are currently being drilled and tested.

Recall
Oleksiy Chernyshov, the head of Naftogaz of Ukraine, said that this year Ukraine does not plan to turn to foreign partners to buy natural gas. There is enough of it in underground deposits. In addition, they plan to increase the production of natural gas
