Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk said that from January next year, Poland will hold the presidency of the European Union and will make every effort to accelerate Ukraine's accession to the EU and NATO. He said this during a joint press conference with Volodymyr Zelenskyy, an UNN correspondent reports.
"Poland will hold the presidency of the European Union from January next year. Ukraine can always count on our support for joining the European Union and NATO. If it depended on Poland, it would not last longer than one day. Ukraine can count on our diplomacy, we will do everything possible to make the prospect of Ukraine's membership in NATO closer and closer," Tusk said.
He emphasized that Ukraine already understands that the Polish presidency will help speed up accession negotiations.
