Turkey's Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan stated that Turkey may consider the possibility of participating in demining operations in the Strait of Hormuz after a possible peace agreement between Iran and the United States
According to him, after any agreement is reached, a technical group is expected to carry out demining operations in the strait, adding that Turkey in principle views such efforts positively as a humanitarian duty.
He also added that Turkey will review its position if any future technical coalition of countries becomes a party to the renewed conflict.
