Turkish security services have detained 36 people suspected of having links to the Islamic State (IS). According to Turkish Interior Minister Ali Erlikaya on social network X, the detentions were carried out in Istanbul, Izmir, Kayseri and Eskisehir, UNN reports .

According to law enforcement agencies, 15 suspects were detained in Istanbul. According to the investigation, they sent money to a person associated with terrorist organizations. In Kayseri, five people were detained for supplying medicines to the wounded and for being associated with suicide bombers. For similar actions, 14 people were detained in Izmir and 2 in Eskisehir.
According to Ali Erlikay, shotguns, pistols stored without permission and documents, "a large amount of foreign currency and Turkish liras" were seized during the anti-terrorist operation.
Anti-terrorist operations are conducted in Turkey on a regular basis. On March 31, the country's Interior Ministry reported the detention of 51 suspects with ties to the IS (recognized as a terrorist organization and banned in Russia). The operation was conducted in 21 provinces.
