In Ukraine, tuberculosis remains a rather serious challenge for the public health system, but the situation is under control. This was stated by Yana Terleeva, head of the department of management and control of tuberculosis at the Center for Public Health of the Ministry of Health, on the air of the telethon, reports UNN.
According to the Center for Public Health, 18,140 people fell ill with tuberculosis last year - 8% less than in the same period (the year before last - ed.). But at the same time, we can say that the situation today is under control and there are no signs of a significant epidemic process in the country. She noted that there is an underdetection of tuberculosis, especially in the frontline areas.
