U.S. President Donald Trump has announced that he will increase tariffs on passenger cars and trucks from the European Union to 25%. However, the new rules will not apply to European cars and trucks if they are manufactured at plants in the United States, UNN reports.
I am pleased to announce that, based on the fact that the European Union is not living up to our fully negotiated Trade Deal, next week I will be increasing the Tariffs charged to the European Union on Cars and Trucks brought into the United States. The Tariff will be increased to 25%
However, the American leader clarified that if the cars and trucks are manufactured at plants in the U.S., there will be no tariff.
Many Car and Truck Plants are now being built, with over 100 Billion Dollars invested, a record in the history of Car and Truck manufacturing. These Plants, using American Workers, will soon be opening — nothing like what is happening in America today has ever happened before!
