The third child from a family from the village of Kopychyntsi in Ternopil region, who was poisoned by mushrooms, has died. UNN reports with reference to the city council.

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Maria Mykulska, who was born on August 23, 2011. Due to an emergency situation caused by poisoning with wild mushrooms, despite all the efforts of doctors, her heart stopped beating during her stay in the hospital
This is the fourth death in this family. Earlier, the deaths of the mother's partner and two children were reported.

Earlier, the Ministry of Health reported that a family from Kopychyntsi, Chortkiv district, Ternopil region was poisoned by mushroomsthat a man had picked in the forest. He and eight children were poisoned - seven from this family and one child from another family who was visiting the family. All were hospitalized in different hospitals in Ternopil, Lviv, and Kyiv. Of all the hospitalized, only the one-year-old child was in a satisfactory condition, the rest were in serious condition.
The family ate the mushrooms on October 27. The same evening, the children felt sick, but the mother did not seek medical attention until October 30.
On November 1, a 59-year-old man who had picked and fed mushrooms to his children died in the Ternopil Regional Clinical Hospital. On November 10, another child died - 13-year-old Victoria, who was visiting a large family and eating mushrooms with them. On November 4, Ternopil police reported the death of a 4-year-old child who was being treated in Lviv. The child's liver failed, and a donor was urgently found, but it did not help.
The police opened a criminal case under Article 166 (malicious failure to fulfill childcare responsibilities) and will not reclassify it. The mother faces up to 5 years in prison.
