American military forces have carried out new strikes on several targets in Iran. This is reported by the U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM), informs UNN.
Details
It is noted that after the recent U.S. strikes in response to the Iranian attack on the tanker Ever Lovely, "Iran was given a chance to adhere to the ceasefire agreement, but it chose not to do so."
Its forces ... launched a suicide drone strike that hit the tanker Kiku. The tanker, flying the Panamanian flag, was passing near the Strait of Hormuz with over two million barrels of crude oil
It is indicated that CENTCOM forces carried out the strikes as a "direct response to the continued Iranian aggression against commercial shipping: U.S. military aircraft attacked Iranian military surveillance infrastructure, communication systems, air defense facilities, drone storage sites, and mine-laying structures."
"The transit of commercial vessels through the Strait of Hormuz continues. U.S. forces remain vigilant, lethal, and ready for action," CENTCOM added.
Recall
The United States spent such a number of Tomahawk cruise missiles and Patriot anti-aircraft missiles during the war with Iran that their full replenishment will take several years. The Trump administration has already appealed to Congress to allocate additional funding to replenish the arsenals.
