The US Department of the Treasury announced a new package of sanctions against Iran and expanded the list of previously imposed restrictions. This was reported by UNN with reference to the press service of the US Treasury.
Details
The sanctions targeted new individuals and organizations linked to illegal oil trade with Yemeni Houthis, as well as companies involved in supplying equipment for the production of missiles and other dual-use items. These are used, among other things, for weapon production.
As noted by Reuters, the sanctions apply to eight entities, one vessel, and one individual for their alleged role in supplying dual-use machinery to Iran's defense industry.
The United States remains steadfast in its commitment to disrupting any Iranian attempts to acquire dual-use technology, components, and equipment that are fundamental to the regime's ballistic missiles, unmanned aerial vehicles, and asymmetric weapons.
Recall
American intelligence believes that Iran has not yet made a final decision on creating a nuclear weapon, despite having a sufficient stock of enriched uranium.
