Improved nutrition for the military in civilian health care facilities will now have a single payment mechanism and a simplified implementation procedure. This was reported by the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, UNN reports .

It is noted that the responsibility for organizing meals for servicemen during treatment and rehabilitation will be assigned to medical institutions. An important change was also the introduction of a single payment system for all healthcare facilities.
In addition, the new procedure provides for a simplified reporting system for medical institutions. Payment for services will be made on the basis of submitted reports, which will greatly facilitate document flow and speed up the settlement process.
Our task is to ensure proper care for wounded defenders of Ukraine, regardless of where they are treated. Since the introduction of the improved nutrition mechanism last month, we have seen real results and room for improvement
In 2025, the state will allocate more than UAH 2.1 billion to ensure quality nutrition for defenders in civilian medical facilities. This will allow us to maintain uniform nutrition standards for all wounded soldiers, which are applied in military medical institutions.

The Ministry of Defense has approved new requirements for the caloric content of food for the Armed Forces, which will become mandatory in 2025. Previously, the calorie content was determined by the suppliers themselves, but now clear standards will be set.
