The Russian occupation forces have built two new crossings on the road from the temporarily occupied Kherson region to Crimea via the Arabat Spit. This is reported by Radio Svoboda, according to UNN.
Details
According to the publication, this is evidenced by analysis of satellite images, the latest of which is dated June 30.
This refers to a causeway and a pontoon bridge. Their construction began after Ukrainian forces struck the main bridge in this direction on June 8.
Earlier, it was also reported that the Russian authorities built a causeway in the Chonhar area, where another bridge connecting occupied Crimea with mainland Ukraine was damaged as a result of Ukrainian strikes.
As Radio Svoboda notes, the construction of new crossings indicates attempts by the occupation authorities to provide alternative logistics routes after damage to key transport arteries leading to Crimea.
