Ruslan Kravchenko announced a shift from the "process for the sake of process" model to a "result" model.

Today, a coordination meeting of heads of law enforcement agencies took place. Prosecutor General Ruslan Kravchenko outlined the main priorities in the work of law enforcement agencies. As the Prosecutor General emphasized, we must move from a "process for the sake of process" model to a "result" model, reports UNN

"The law enforcement system should not work for the process. It should work for the result. That is exactly what I started the coordination meeting of heads of law enforcement agencies with today.

For many years, the effectiveness of the system was assessed by the number of opened criminal proceedings, meetings held, or statistical indicators. Today, the criteria are completely different. Whether the criminal has been punished. Whether stolen funds have been returned to the state. Whether a child has been protected. Whether all those guilty of war crimes have been identified. That is why I outlined the main changes. We are moving from a "process for the sake of process" model to a "result" model," the Prosecutor General emphasized.

Kravchenko emphasized that today, not only internal security depends on the quality of the law enforcement system's work. According to him, Ukraine's international authority also depends on it.

"There are criminal proceedings whose progress our international partners are closely monitoring. These include, in particular, the case regarding the assassination attempt in Monaco and the investigation into the circumstances of the sabotage of the "Nord Stream" gas pipelines," the Prosecutor General explained.

According to him, the task of law enforcement officers is to ensure a professional, objective, and impartial investigation of each such case.

"Not only to establish the truth, but also to protect Ukraine's reputation and trust in Ukrainian state institutions," Kravchenko added.

War crimes remain an absolute priority.

"We cannot predict where a Russian missile will strike tomorrow. We cannot always protect people from the strike itself.

"But we must do everything to ensure that the consequences of these attacks do not become even more terrible due to official negligence or irresponsibility. That is why the investigation into the tragedy in Vyshneve is fundamental for me," said the Prosecutor General.

According to Kravchenko, if it is established that officials, through their decisions or inaction, allowed consequences that could have been avoided, each of them must bear responsibility. The law is the same for everyone.

"Position, powers or status cannot be grounds for avoiding responsibility. This is not only my position as the Prosecutor General. This is a task set by the President of Ukraine," he emphasized.

A separate priority is the protection of children.

"This is especially important to me, given even the fact that these children live in conditions of full-scale war. And no one has the right to neglect their lives and health.

Not a single child for whom there is an obvious threat should be left without state protection. Where the inaction of officials leads to tragedies, there will be a principled legal assessment," Kravchenko explained his position.

According to the Prosecutor General, the fight against crimes against the foundations of national security, corruption, organized crime, crimes in the budgetary, economic and cyber spheres, as well as illegal schemes of evading mobilization, remains no less fundamental.

"Each law enforcement agency has its own powers. But the result for all should be the same. A safe state. Protected people. Restored justice. It is by these results that Ukrainian society will evaluate us. And it is by them that the world evaluates Ukraine today," the Prosecutor General summarized.
