Ukrainian forces struck the Saratov Oil Refinery and the "Engels" military airfield. The strikes on these facilities were confirmed by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, reports UNN.

Tonight, in Russia's Saratov, more than 600 kilometers from the front line, two strategic facilities were hit simultaneously: the Saratov Oil Refinery and the "Engels" military airfield," the President said.
According to Zelenskyy, in the Kaluga region, the tank farm of the "Lyudinovskaya" oil depot was struck. Also, in the Bryansk region, our soldiers accurately targeted a site for the storage, preparation, and launch of attack drones.
Recall, the "Engels" airfield is one of the main Russian strategic aviation bases, where Tu-95MS and Tu-160 bombers are stationed, which are regularly used to launch missile strikes on the territory of Ukraine. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that a hit on the facility was recorded, followed by a fire on the airfield's territory.
As for the Saratov Oil Refinery, as UNN wrote, it has been struck by Ukrainian forces more than once before. This time, one of the largest oil refining enterprises in the Volga region sustained damage after an attack by FP-1 drones.
Its processing capacity is about 7 million tons of oil per year. The plant is involved in meeting the needs of the military-industrial complex and the armed forces of the Russian Federation. As reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the scale of the damage is being determined. At the same time, according to the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, the main oil refining units were successfully struck.
