Ukraine is working on approaches to ensure that women can independently choose the period of time when they will be on parental leave. This was announced by the minister of social policy Oksana Zholnovich during the hour of questions to the government in the Verkhovna Rada, reports UNN.
We are working on approaches for which a woman will be able to choose the period of time when she will be on parental leave, because it is very important that we have the opportunity to give women time for self-realization. A huge number of women refuse to give birth to a second and third child, because they lose professionally. And we need to work on it too
According to her, a package of solutions is being prepared, including expanding the "municipal nanny" to all such mothers, to help them return to the labor market.
According to Zholnovich, the ministry also plans to make systematic sustainable support for various families, which will be one-time, until winter, before school.
As for support for different families, we also plan to make systematic sustainable support, which will be one-time, before winter, before school. But still, we must take into account that large families are very different, including Absolutely well-off and rich, we will not have the resource to distribute money to everyone, taking into account the income and capabilities of the family. Therefore, the property criterion for such one-time benefits will still be preserved
She also said that the ministry is working on a comprehensive approach to supporting women with children, developing a format for extending paid sick leave, which will be paid for a certain period of time from 100 percent of the average salary.
In this way, we will help women in the period of time when they perform a very important function for the birth and upbringing of children, improve their care, and have their own specific resource
