Kyiv has seen a significant increase in the incidence of COVID-19. The number of hospitalized people has increased from 20 to 73, including 18 children, and about 20 new patients are admitted to hospitals every day.

Recently, the incidence of COVID-19 has increased significantly in Kyiv . In particular, the number of hospitalizations due to coronavirus has increased in the capital. This was stated by Valentyna Ginzburg, Director of the KCSA Health Department, UNNreports.

Details

While as of July 1, there were twenty patients diagnosed with COVID-19 and one with suspected COVID-19 in Kyiv hospitals, this morning there are 73 such patients. On average, about 20 people are admitted to hospitals per day. I would like to remind you that hospitalization is used in severe cases of the disease. Unfortunately, there are 18 children among these seriously ill patients

- Valentina Ginzburg emphasized .

According to the Kyiv City Center for Disease Control and Prevention, a total of 900 cases of COVID-19 were registered in July, and in June the number was less than 200.

Since the beginning of the year, 52 people have died of the disease in the capital.

Addendum

Valentina Ginzburg reminded how to reduce the risk of coronavirus infection. In particular, you need to:

  • keep up with personal hygiene;
  • wash hands and use disinfectants;
  •  avoid enclosed spaces with large crowds;
    avoid
  • ventilate the room frequently;
  •  to perform wet cleaning at home and at work.

And, most importantly, strictly follow the rule: "If you are sick, stay home!" If you feel unwell, isolate yourself as much as possible. After all, COVID, even with a mild course of the disease, can be fatal for a person you infect with a weak immune system (a child, pregnant woman, chronic patient, or an older person). (...) So the algorithm of actions should be as follows: get sick - stay home - see a doctor - get tested and strictly follow all recommendations until you are fully recovered

 - emphasized Valentina Ginzburg.

Recall

In June in Ukraine , 15 people were hospitalized with botulism, mostly after eating dried fish and home-canned meat.
