Starting May 7, 4.8 million Ukrainians will receive payments for March. For the first time, fuel cashback has been accrued with rates ranging from 5% to 15%, depending on the type of fuel.

The payout of the "National Cashback" for March has started in Ukraine; this time, for the first time, cashback for fuel will be issued, the Ministry of Economy reported on Thursday, according to UNN.

Ukrainians will begin receiving "National Cashback" payments for March starting May 7. In total, funds will be credited to the cards of nearly 4.8 million users of the "National Cashback" program. Along with this payment, users will receive fuel cashback on their accounts for the first time, which was introduced on March 20. Specifically, over 2 million Ukrainians will receive these payments,

- the Ministry of Economy reported.

Among the recipients of fuel cashback, it is noted that 91% are owners of budget-segment cars, vehicles aged 10-20 years with an engine capacity of up to 2.5 liters.

Fuel with cashback can be purchased in any corner of the country: more than 220 gas station networks have already joined the program — from large national chains to local ones.

Compensation is calculated for every liter of fuel: 15% for diesel, 10% for gasoline, and 5% for autogas. As of May 1, the maximum amount of fuel cashback is 500 UAH per month, while the total limit under the "National Cashback" program is 3,000 UAH per month.

Furthermore, according to the report, the March payout is the first payment under a differentiated cashback model, which provides for two levels of compensation:

  • 15% — for Ukrainian-made goods in categories with a high share of imports: cosmetics and hygiene products, household chemicals, goods for the home, renovation and construction, pet supplies, stationery, clothing, footwear, as well as hard and soft cheeses, and certain types of pasta and cereals.
    • 5% — for goods with strong market positions, including food products, pharmacy items, and garden supplies.

You can find out exactly what percentage of cashback is applied to a product using the barcode scanner in the "Diia" app, as well as on the Made in Ukraine portal.

"The program continues to operate as usual," the Ministry of Economy emphasized.

The funds can be spent on utility bills, medicine, Ukrainian products, and books, or donated to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Ukrainian-made food products can be purchased with cashback funds in over 22 retail chains and on online platforms. A detailed list of stores can be found on the Made in Ukraine portal.
