Enemy propaganda continues to spread fakes about the alleged encirclement of Ukrainian troops in the Kursk region of the Russian Federation. This was reported by the Center for Countering Disinformation (CPD) of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, UNN reports.

It is noted that Russian Telegram channels are spreading videos with allegedly "Ukrainian soldiers" who claim to be surrounded on the territory of the Russian Federation.
In fact, such videos are created using deepfake technology. This can be easily noticed by unnatural lip movements and facial expressions, artificial facial features and distorted pronunciation, slight flickering of the image and occlusion (closing of the dentition)
The CPD emphasizes that there is no encirclement of Ukrainian troops in the Kursk region, as repeatedly stated by the President of Ukraine, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, and the General Staff.
"The purpose of such lies is to undermine confidence in the Ukrainian army and command, create panic among citizens and demoralize the military," the CPD concluded.
