Due to grid restrictions and hostile attacks on energy facilities in eastern Ukraine, power outages occurred in Kharkiv region and Kryvyi Rih, while Ukraine provided emergency assistance by transferring excess electricity to the Polish grid.

In eastern Ukraine, the enemy attacked a power facility, at the request of Poland, Ukraine took and transferred excess electricity to the neighboring country's power system, there are restrictions in Kharkiv region and in Kryvyi Rih, the Energy Ministry said on Monday, UNN reports.

Due to network constraints on the transmission system operator's lines, yesterday blackout schedules were applied in Kharkiv region and for industry in Kryvyi Rih. Restrictions in these regions are still in effect today. In other regions, consumers were not restricted yesterday," the statement said.

Due to the sunny weather and, accordingly, the active generation of electricity by SPPs, as indicated, the transmission system operator limited the generation of electricity from RES in the morning hours to a total of 2278 MWh.

"At the same time, during daytime hours, at Poland's request, Ukraine provided emergency assistance to the neighboring country's power system by accepting surplus electricity in the total amount of 600 MWh. At the same time, after the peak hours, Ukraine, at the request of Poland, provided emergency assistance to the Polish power system in the total amount of 600 MWh. Emergency assistance at the request of the Ukrainian transmission system operator from neighboring countries was not provided yesterday," the Ministry of Energy added.

Consequences of shelling

"The enemy attacked an energy facility in the east of the country. Equipment was damaged and an overhead line was disconnected. In Donetsk region, yesterday afternoon, a substation and the household consumers connected to it were cut off due to the disconnection of one of the overhead lines of the regional power company," the Ministry of Energy reported.

Situation at ZNPP

"The water level in the cooling pond is 15.40 meters. This is enough to meet the needs of the plant," the ministry said.

Import and export

For the current day, electricity imports are forecasted at 9816 MWh. In addition, a small volume of exports to Moldova is planned for the day - 100 MWh.
